I'm a size 8/10 and bought a L and it is tight around the thighs so the product rolls up under my butt vs being flush like it is on the model. I'd say buy 2 sizes up! You can wear it under alot if things but on some things it shows especially if its not fitting completely flush to your skin...any "rollage" if the spandex product makes it a little visible. I do agree you need a little to work with for it to really pop. Good product overall
